Our mission
Belonging can change how school feels.
The move to secondary school is a major reset. Some children arrive with familiar faces around them; others do not. We are exploring how shared interests and purposeful time together might give more children a natural place to begin.
Technology, used differently
The screen is a tool, not the destination.
Children are growing up against a backdrop of increasing concern about loneliness, social isolation and the part screen-based lives may play. The irony is intentional: Tribe uses technology to identify common ground, then points away from the screen, towards shared activity and connection in the real world.

Give connection a shared purpose.
Tribe develops structured group tasks for newly formed groups, giving pupils an enjoyable and achievable reason to spend time together. Each task is packaged so schools can deliver it simply within their existing environment.

Any future trial should ask a straightforward question: did the approach help children form connections that endured beyond the activity itself?

About
Technology experience, put to work for the community.
We are a team of technologists keen to give something back to the community. We have witnessed first hand the impact that social isolation can have at school, and that experience is what led us to create Tribe as a non-profit organisation.
We believe technology can play a positive, carefully designed role: helping children find common ground, then giving them a reason to connect in the real world. We are developing Tribe thoughtfully and want to learn from the schools and professionals closest to the issue.
